After 1995, Hsinchu City started to hold 'Zhu Chian International Glass Art Festival' every two years, which has been well known all over the world and has become an indispensable cultural asset. The Glass Art Museum has also become a hot scenic spot.
The traditional special products of Hsinchu city include: rice noodle, meatball, fruit/flower powder, peanut butter, Zhuchian cake and etc. Each year, the city government holds various activities, such as the contests of 'Zhu Chian Beauty', Meatball Baby' and 'Creative Shape of Rice Noodle and Meat Ball'.
