Two hundred years ago, the ancestors of Chujing City enclosed the city with bamboo and constructed gates, shaping the city profile of East Gate, West Gate, South Gate, and North Gate. The first railroad to arrive Hsinchu was constructed by the Qing Dynasty one hundred years ago. After the Japanese Colonial Period, the city street block expanded to Beida, Nanda, Dongda, and Xida Road.
